Youth leader

This is a youth club where youth can learn something new and have fun with games and books. Must be able to deal with kids with special needs and all kinds of behavior issues.

Accountability:

The Youth Leader is a member of the power staff who reports directly to the Ambassador

and is responsible for:

• Attending events
• Participating in staff planning and integrating youth into the program vision and strategy;
• Seeking staff input and serving as a resource to staff on issues related to youth and the events.

Responsibilities include:

• Organizing workshops or activities
• Planning and attending trips, small groups, and projects with youth
• Serve as the liaison with Power of Two programs, services, and resources
• Provide opportunities for young people to engage in programs and advocacy
• Maintain an environment of inclusion, trust, and acceptance that embraces young
• people and families from different cultural, racial, and ethnic backgrounds
• Engaging in outreach to bring in youth outside the club
• Creating fun, meaningful events that bring real relationships.
• (Food) Make sure there is food on tables at all times - This is a must if food is getting low, please let me know ASAP
• Provide opportunities for young people to socialize and build community in a safe
• environment

On Wednesdays, we have the youth program where we have fun and make sure that the kids have fun too. This is our biggest day with the large group of kids.
