    Description

    Senior Resource Advocate

    Organization: Senior Hope

    Location: Remote (Greater Phoenix Area)

    Commitment: 10–20 hours per week

    The Mission

Are you passionate about supporting our aging community? Senior Hope is seeking a dedicated Senior Resource Advocate to serve as a vital bridge between seniors in need and the resources that can help them thrive. In this role, you aren’t just processing paperwork; you are providing a listening ear and a roadmap to stability for seniors navigating complex systems.

    What You’ll Do

    • Direct Outreach: Connect with seniors via phone or video to gather essential information and assess their current needs.
    • Application Assistance: Guide seniors through online application processes, providing hands-on digital support for those who may find technology a barrier.
    • Resource Navigation: Utilize your knowledge of the Greater Phoenix nonprofit landscape to provide immediate referrals for food, housing, or medical assistance.
    • Advocacy & Recommendations: Prepare brief summaries and recommendations for our internal committee to ensure each senior receives the long-term support they deserve.
    • Hybrid Engagement: While most work is remote, you’ll meet with our team or in some cases clients in person 1–2 times per month.

    What We’re Looking For

    • Empathy & Integrity: You will be handling sensitive personal information; a high level of discretion and a clean background check are mandatory.
    • Local Experts: Knowledge of Phoenix-area resources (AHCCCS, Area Agency on Aging, local food banks, etc.) is a huge plus.
    • Communication Skills: The ability to explain complex forms in a simple, patient, and encouraging manner.
    • Background: A background in Social Work, Case Management, or Gerontology is a wonderful bonus, but we welcome anyone with a strong administrative or service-oriented heart.

    Why Join Us?

You will be the face of our organization for seniors who often feel overlooked.
