Description:
The Event Promotion & Outreach Volunteer helps grow attendance and community awareness for Michigan Abolitionist Project events. This role focuses on inviting individuals, organizations, and community members to attend MAP events through personal outreach, local connections, and online sharing. Volunteers act as ambassadors for MAP’s mission and help ensure events are well-attended, welcoming, and impactful.
Responsibilities:
- Promote MAP events through personal, community, and social networks
- Invite individuals and groups to attend events
- Assist staff and speakers during events
- Share event details online and offline
- Welcome and assist event guests
- Help with event setup and cleanup
- Support guest flow and seating
