The Freddie Ford Family Foundation is looking for fun, friendly, and dependable volunteers to help make our Autism-Friendly Trunk-or-Treat a memorable night for children with autism and their families!

This isn't just a Halloween event—it's an opportunity to create a space where families can enjoy Halloween without pressure, judgment, or having to explain their child's needs.

🎃 Volunteer Opportunities

We need volunteers to help with:

• 🚗 Trunk-or-Treat Support – Help families move through the event and keep activities organized
• 🍬 Candy & Treat Stations – Distribute treats and help keep stations stocked
• 🎨 Games & Activities – Help children participate at their own pace
• 👻 Costume Contest – Help with registration, photos, and event support
• 👋 Family Check-In & Welcome – Greet families and provide directions
• 🧩 Sensory-Friendly Support – Help maintain a calm, welcoming environment
• 🚦 Parking & Guest Flow – Help families safely navigate the event area
• 🎃 Setup & Decorations – Help transform the parking lot into a festive Halloween celebration
• 🧹 Cleanup & Breakdown – Help us leave the space clean and organized

❤️ What We're Looking For

You don't need special experience working with children with autism. We simply need volunteers who are:

• Friendly and welcoming
• Patient and respectful
• Dependable and willing to pitch in
• Comfortable working around children and families
• Ready to have some Halloween fun!

Volunteers must be available from 5:30–9:30 PM to help with setup, the event, and cleanup.

For many families impacted by autism, traditional Halloween events can be overwhelming or difficult to navigate. Your four hours can help create an experience where children can participate in their own way and families can simply enjoy being together.
