Description
We are looking for a Volunteer Grant Writer to help expand our funding pipeline and support youth programs.
We need someone with strong writing and development skills. If you have a passion for helping kids, this could be the place to apply. In this role, you will work collaboratively with our small, but mighty, leadership team to identify foundation and corporate grant opportunities, draft compelling proposals, and help secure resources that directly drive our mission forward.
This is a flexible, remote opportunity ideal for an experienced grant writer, development professional, or skilled communicator looking to align their talents with their passion for youth service.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential funding sources.
- Draft, edit, and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry (LOIs), and grant applications.
- Collaborate with internal leadership to gather program details, budgets, and operational data for proposals.
- Maintain a grant calendar to track application deadlines, reporting requirements, and submission statuses.
- Assist with drafting progress reports for funders as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- A strong passion for youth development and community impact.
- Strong written communication, editing, and research skills.
- Prior experience in grant writing, professional writing, fundraising, or non-profit communications preferred.
- Ability to synthesize program data into clear, persuasive narratives.
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines independently.
- Comfort working in a remote, collaborative environment.
