Volunteers in this role must love to lift things and be adaptable. Sometimes gleaning processes or locations change mid shift depending on program needs. The Lift UP Warehouse Manager makes these changes and keeps all volunteers informed.

Join Our Glean Team! Lift Urban Portland reduces hunger and improves the lives of low-income residents of Northwest and Downtown Portland. We are expanding rapidly to serve the needs of our growing community and we need your help!

Do you have a passion for reducing food waste and ensuring that all people have access to high quality foods? Is lifting heavy items something you like to do in your spare time? If so, come glean with us!

Responsibilities and Other Details
- Gleaning pick ups occur at our community partner locations at various times. For this opportunity, gleaners will be picking up donations from Trader Joe's and Safeway to deliver to our pantry, 8:30-10:30 am Fridays.
- Must be 21 years of age or older and have a clean driving record.
- Experience driving a sprinter van or large vehicle a plus.
- Physically able to lift and carry 50 pounds, repeatedly
- Criminal record check required
