    Description

    Volunteer Program Coordinator

    Who We Are:

    Love Action Int​​. is a community resource center that provides programs and services to the under served population of North Highlands.

    Our programs and services

    • Workforce Development: Resume Workshops, Interview Prep, Job Search Workshops, Sustainable Job Training, and Work Clothing Vouchers.
    • Youth Summer Enrichment Programs: Literacy, Math, Technology, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, and Sports.
    • Volunteers Corner: (VC) is a volunteer/internship program designed for high school students, college students, court requirements, employment requirements, retirees, and any one who has a desire to give back to the community through volunteerism. Volunteers will have the opportunity to choose from differnt causes/sites to serve as a volunteer.
    • H4H- Help for homeless provides hot meals, clothing, hygiene packs, books, referral services for mental health, substance abuse, and housing.
    • Beautification Project: This is a 3 phase project to beautify the community by painting, landscaping, and hauling away illegal dumping.

    What We Are Looking for:

    The Love Action Program Coordinator is responsible for outreach, tracking & record management, and other duties as required to ensure effective delivery of the Love Action program.

    • Outreach: Plan and perform program and volunteer outreach at various locations.
    • Tracking & Record Management: Ensure all files and documentation is current for all volunteers.

    Qualifications:

    • Ability to coordinate and work effectively with coworkers and volunteers
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and leadership skills
    • Highly organized with demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and resources efficiently
    • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and effectively develop solutions to problems
    • Proficiency in Microsoft applications
