Help Us Write Our Next Chapter—Join Our Board

Do you believe in the power of literature to bring people together? Would you like to share that story with others and bring the light of literature to underserved communities?

At People & Stories/Gente y Cuentos, a short story opens the door to conversation, connection, and fresh understanding. We bring literature to people whose voices and experiences too often go unheard - and create space for everyone around the table to be part of the conversation.

As we approach our 55th year, we are seeking new members of our Board of Trustees to help our work grow. New Jersey residents with fundraising or legal backgrounds are especially encouraged to connect with us. Familiarity with Spanish language a plus, not required.

We’re looking for people who share an interest in our mission and are willing to participate actively, introduce others to our work, and help raise the funds that make our programs possible.

There is much to celebrate—and so much more we hope to do. If you’re interested, or know someone who might be, we would love to hear from you. Let’s start a conversation.
