Full Stack Software Developer – Wearable Safety Technology Platform
Organization: LoopRoots Foundation
Location: Remote (U.S.)
Position: Volunteer (20–25 hours/week)
About the Role
LoopRoots Foundation is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to help build the core infrastructure of our Wearable Safety Technology Platform. This role will develop and maintain the web application, backend services, APIs, databases, and administrative portal that power the platform.
Working closely with the Technical Lead, AI & Machine Learning Engineer, Mobile Developer, and UI/UX Design Lead, you will create scalable, secure, and user-focused solutions that support both internal operations and end users.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the web application and backend services.
- Build secure RESTful APIs and system integrations.
- Design and manage databases and application logic.
- Collaborate with the Mobile Developer to support API integration.
- Work with the UI/UX Design Lead to implement responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain development best practices.
- Document technical processes and system architecture.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Full Stack Software Developer or Software Engineer.
- Proficiency with modern frontend and backend development frameworks.
- Experience building REST APIs and database-driven applications.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and version control systems.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
- Passion for developing technology that creates meaningful social impact.
