Role Overview:
The Web Designer & Website Manager will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing The Alexander Review’s website, ensuring it reflects our editorial vision and brand identity.
This role sits at the intersection of design, user experience, and digital presence, helping us create a seamless and visually refined platform for showcasing our work, engaging readers, and supporting growth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update The Alexander Review website (content, pages, and structure)
- Ensure the website reflects a clean, minimalist, and high-end brand aesthetic
- Collaborate with editorial and marketing teams to publish new issues and updates
- Optimize website layout and user experience for readability and accessibility
- Upload and format written content (articles, issues, announcements)
- Monitor website performance and identify areas for improvement
- Troubleshoot basic website issues and ensure smooth functionality
- Support the implementation of new features or design improvements as needed
Basic Qualifications:
- Familiarity with website builders or CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Webflow, or similar)
- Basic understanding of web design principles (layout, typography, user experience)
- Attention to detail, especially in formatting and visual presentation
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a remote environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Interest in literature, publishing, or creative industries
Nice to Have:
- Experience designing or managing websites for brands, publications, or personal projects
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS
- Eye for minimalist, editorial-style design aesthetics
- Understanding of SEO basics or website analytics
