About Us
Capital Area Crime Stoppers is a volunteer led nonprofit that works with law enforcement, media, and the community to help solve and prevent crime. We support anonymous tips, promote public safety, and encourage community involvement.
Role
We are seeking volunteer board members to help guide the mission and support our work in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend one board meeting each month
- Review basic reports and updates before meetings
- Help with planning and supporting outreach or fundraising activities as needed
- Serve as an ambassador for Capital Area Crime Stoppers in the community
Time Commitment
- About 2 to 4 hours per month
- One board meeting each month, plus some light preparation and follow up
Ideal Candidate
- Interested in public safety and community improvement
- Willing to work as part of a team
- Reliable and able to attend monthly meetings
