    Gain Management Experience as a Volunteer Relations Coordinator

    Are you a motivated individual looking to make a difference?

    Join us as a Volunteer Relations Coordinator at our Concord, San Jose, and Oakland ReStores!

    This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in leadership and management while contributing to a meaningful cause. In this vital role, you'll help recruit and cultivate volunteers, building a new Volunteer Program to support our mission.

    If you have leadership experience or love working with people, this opportunity is perfect for you! Training will be provided by management, and even beginner knowledge of leadership or management is valuable.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop a unique Volunteer Program for each store
    • Recruit volunteers from schools, retirement communities, courts, etc.
    • Educate volunteers about the Habitat Mission and ReStore Vision
    • Supervise and assign projects to volunteers
    • Track project progress and key performance indicators (KPIs)

    Requirements:

    • Knowledge of and commitment to the philosophy of Habitat for Humanity
    • Ability to work closely with ReStore staff, volunteers, Habitat homeowners, and customers
    • Quick learner; comfortable asking questions
    • Self-sufficient and cooperative attitude
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to bend, squat, and lift at least 50 pounds
    • Ability to stand for long periods
    • Basic Microsoft Office familiarity
    • A positive attitude and a people person

    Training:

    On-site training is provided by a ReStore manager. Most volunteers are fully trained within one month.

    Commitment: 1 day a week for at least a 6-month minimum

    Concord ReStore- 2080 Diamond Blvd., Concord, CA 94520, Wed-Sun

    San Jose ReStore- 1608 Las Plumas Ave., San Jose, CA 95133, Wed-Sun

    Oakland ReStore- 9235 San Leandro St., Oakland, CA 94603, Mon-Sat
