Be a Voice for the Parkinson's Community
The Center for Movement Challenges (CFMC) is seeking passionate volunteers to serve as CFMC Ambassadors and help raise awareness of our programs among healthcare providers throughout the Atlanta area.
As a CFMC Ambassador, you'll help ensure that individuals living with Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders learn about the specialized exercise, wellness, education, and support programs available through our nonprofit.
What You'll Do
CFMC Ambassadors visit local:
- Neurology offices
- Movement disorder clinics
- Physical therapy practices
- Occupational therapy clinics
- Speech therapy providers
- Senior living communities
- Healthcare organizations
Volunteers will share brochures, referral information, and educational materials about CFMC and the important role exercise plays in helping individuals with Parkinson's maintain their strength, mobility, independence, and quality of life.
Why This Matters
Research consistently shows that exercise is one of the most effective tools available to help manage Parkinson's symptoms and improve overall well-being. Yet many individuals and families are unaware of the resources available in their own community.
By helping us build relationships with healthcare providers, you'll play a direct role in connecting people to programs that can make a meaningful difference in their lives.
We Provide Everything You Need
No medical expertise is required.
CFMC will provide:
✔ Training and talking points
✔ Brochures and referral materials
✔ Lists of offices and providers to visit
✔ Ongoing support from our staff
Ideal Volunteers
We're looking for individuals who:
- Enjoy meeting new people
- Are comfortable introducing themselves to healthcare offices
- Believe in the power of community and exercise
- Want to help people living with Parkinson's access valuable resources
Individuals with personal or professional connections to Parkinson's disease are especially encouraged to apply, but all are welcome.
