    Description

    We are seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Intern/Volunteer to support our digital communications and storytelling efforts. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing, content creation, and audience engagement. The intern will help amplify our mission by creating impactful content, managing social platforms, and supporting campaigns that drive community connection and outreach.

    Responsibilities

    • Create, schedule, and manage content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
    • Design engaging graphics and write compelling captions aligned with brand voice and mission.
    • Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and foster online community interaction.
    • Support social media campaigns for events such as fundraising initiatives, holiday drives, and outreach programs.
    • Collaborate with project coordinators, media team members, and leadership to align messaging.
    • Track, analyze, and report on performance metrics including reach, engagement, and growth.

    Qualifications

    • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated interest in social impact, nonprofit work, or community engagement.
    • Eligibility for CPT or OPT (documentation support provided).

    Required Skills

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with storytelling ability.
    • Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
    • Familiarity with social media platforms, trends, and content strategies.
    • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
    • Basic understanding of social media analytics and performance tracking.
