    About LoopRoots Foundation

LoopRoots Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing integrated support to individuals and families facing barriers related to transportation, housing, food access, workforce development, reentry, wellness, youth services, and other essential needs.

As our organization continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced volunteer to help strengthen LoopRoots Foundation’s business credit profile, purchasing power, vendor relationships, and overall financial readiness.

    Position Overview

The Volunteer Business Credit & Financial Readiness Specialist will work with organizational leadership to evaluate and improve the Foundation’s commercial credit profile and identify opportunities to establish stronger vendor and purchasing relationships.

The goal of this role is to help LoopRoots build sufficient organizational credit and financial documentation to qualify for business purchasing accounts, vendor terms, equipment financing, corporate credit opportunities, and other resources with reduced reliance on personal guarantees.

    Responsibilities

    • Review the Foundation’s existing business credit profiles and commercial credit history.
    • Identify inaccurate or inconsistent business information and assist with legitimate correction requests.
    • Review Experian Business, Equifax Business, Dun & Bradstreet, LexisNexis and other applicable commercial reporting sources.
    • Research vendors offering Net-30, Net-45 or Net-60 purchasing terms.
    • Determine which vendor accounts report payment history to commercial credit bureaus.
    • Assist with establishing and managing appropriate business tradelines.
    • Research corporate credit cards, purchasing accounts and business financing options that may not require a personal guarantee.
    • Help organize financial documentation commonly requested by vendors, lenders and financing companies.
    • Develop a business-credit-building strategy and timeline for the organization.
    • Monitor payment history, credit utilization and reporting progress.
    • Research nonprofit-specific purchasing, financing and equipment programs.
    • Help identify financing options for vehicles, technology, office equipment, program supplies and other organizational needs.
    • Assist leadership with vendor-credit applications and documentation when appropriate.
    • Maintain a spreadsheet or dashboard tracking accounts, credit limits, payment terms, reporting bureaus and application status.
    • Provide recommendations for strengthening the Foundation’s financial readiness over the next 6–12 months.

    Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with experience or knowledge in business credit, banking, lending, accounting, finance, commercial underwriting, business funding, vendor credit, financial consulting or a related field.

Experience working with nonprofit organizations, small businesses, business credit bureaus, commercial lenders or vendor-credit programs is especially valuable.

Candidates should understand the difference between legitimate business-credit development and inaccurate or improper credit-dispute practices.

Strong organizational, research and communication skills are important.

Experience with Excel, Google Sheets or financial tracking systems is preferred.

    Why Volunteer With LoopRoots

This position provides an opportunity to directly help a growing nonprofit strengthen its financial infrastructure and increase its ability to purchase the equipment, vehicles, technology and supplies necessary to serve communities.

The volunteer will work directly with organizational leadership and have the opportunity to help build financial systems that can support LoopRoots Foundation’s continued expansion.

    To Apply

Please submit your resume and a brief statement explaining your experience with business credit, commercial lending, accounting, finance, vendor terms, business funding or related financial services.
