Description
Sourcewise is holding a Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) on August 22nd! Please sign up if you are interested in joining the team to prepare for and provide support to the SFMNP, which allows older adults to take charge of their nutrition by providing them with accessible and healthy food from local farmers markets.
Volunteer Tasks:
- Provide translation support by asking older adult participants three basic questions in their native language to confirm program eligibility.
- 2 Mandarin translators needed
- 2 Vietnamese translators needed
Qualifications:
- Bilingual abilities required (Mandarin or Vietnamese)
- Able to commit to the full 4-hour shift
- No experience needed, all materials and instructions will be provided
Volunteer Requirements:
- Sourcewise Volunteer Application
- Sign a volunteer form/waiver (minors must have parent consent form signed prior to event)
- Great project for adults and teens age 16 and older.
