    Description

    Take your love of chess and teach a new generation.

    We are building community through games and looking for individuals who are passionate about teaching and playing chess with elementary age children to develop critical thinking skills, encourage social interaction, and to have fun.

    • Help to maintain a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.
    • Ability to both play chess and teach children.
    • Assist with setup and cleanup.

    This event will be held in the Community Room at the Irving Street library. Tables, chairs, and chessboards provided. High interaction with children and parents. Customer service skills are a plus.

    Qualifications

    • knowledge of chess play, patience, desire to work with children
