We also welcome minor volunteers that are at least 14 years old! But to stay in compliance with CA Bill AB506, a guardian needs to be present with the minor throughout the duration of their shift.

Description
Volunteer for food access at Central Farmers' Market!
Alchemist CDC facilitates the use of CalFresh (SNAP/EBT) benefits and bonus Market Match incentives at Sacramento County farmers' markets. We need your help to connect communities to fresh, healthy, local food.
Volunteer duties:
- Assist in processing SNAP transactions
- Distribute EBT and Market Match vouchers
- Assist in redemption of vouchers from farmers’ market vendors
Due to the close proximity of volunteers and staff for the length of the farmers' market day, all volunteers must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
Our CalFresh community is as diverse as the city of Sacramento! We are looking for bilingual volunteers who can communicate in Arabic, Cantonese, Mandarin, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
