    Description

    Volunteer Pet Visitors

Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care is searching for well-trained pets to visit with our patients. While our pets are our own, these animals can be comforting to others as well – especially for those going through a difficult time. One way they can bring peace is through volunteering. We welcome pet therapy animals, but happily encourage volunteers to bring their non-therapy certified pets for companionship. No experience is necessary, just a compassionate, caring heart! Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.

We serve patients all over Northeast Ohio, going to wherever the patient calls home (private house/apartment, nursing home, assisted living facility). We strive to keep our volunteers within a 15 minute drive from the patient(s) they visit – so they can volunteer right in their local community.
