    Description

    Job brief

    The Administrative Assistant works with the President to provide overall administrative and project support and acts as a liaison to the Board.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate physical mail campaigns.
    • Research and coordinate speaking engagements for the President.
    • Coordinate external meetings weekly and update the President's calendar.
    • Complete other assigned administrative tasks as needed.

    • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Ability to learn and anticipate the needs of the organization.
    • Ability to communicate with others and cultivate relationships on behalf of the President and Board.
    • Ability to be self-directed, take ownership, and see projects to completion in a timely manner.
    • Strong project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
    • Proficient with Google Docs, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Canva, and Adobe.

    Board Terms - Time Commitment

    Three-to-four hours a week. LLN Advisory Council members will serve a two-year term to be eligible for re-appointment for two additional terms. Advisory council members will be invited to board meetings once a quarter, and you are expected to attend those meetings. Advisory council members are expected to read board agendas in advance of board meetings and come prepared to ask questions and participate in discussions. They are also expected to attend and provide support for all LLN in-person awareness events.

    Compensation

    Except for selected officers, service on LLN’s Advisory Council is without remuneration and voluntary, except for travel, and accommodation costs in relation to members’ duties.
