Never Alone - Vigil Volunteers Needed

Anew Hospice is seeking volunteers to vigil with actively dying patients residing in facilities without family or to give families some much needed rest. Our passion is making sure that these patients receive the same compassion and love that any other person would when surrounded by their loved ones at the end of their life. Due to the nature of this position we would ask for flexibility to make visits on weekends or in the evenings when our staff may be limited and availability to sit with patients for an extended length of time.

Being a vigil volunteer allows you to provide a presence for someone as they take their last breath and give them a sense of comfort to know someone was there with them for this journey.

Please note, this volunteer position is an ongoing volunteer opportunity that does require the normal orientation process for our volunteers.

• This is an ongoing shift for evenings during the week: 00:00 to 05:45
• This is an ongoing shift for evenings during the week: 17:00 to 23:45
