    Description

    Adventure Playground greeter

    play:groundNYC is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the city through play.

    Our flagship adventure playground, The Yard, located on Governors Island, is open for the public for free on weekends during our season (April-mid November).

    This volunteer position requires standing at the front gate of the playground (under a cover), greeting families and young people coming to play, making sure waivers are signed, soliciting donations, providing information about this unique playground etc.

    Directions

    Getting to the island is done by ferry from Manhattan or Brooklyn.

    Once on the island, it is a short walk.
