Martin Luther King, Jr Day (MLK Day)

Urban Development Corporation (UDC) is a non-profit organization doing work in the inner-city neighborhoods of Detroit.

In celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr Day we are seeking a team of volunteers (5 to 10 people) come out and lend a helping hand with the demolition phase of a house we have acquired that is in dire need of rehabilitation & remodeling.

This is an opportunity to lend a helping hand to a forgotten Detroit community which needs to see the possibility of hope. If you enjoy winter weather, working with your hands, construction work and don't mind getting dirty this the volunteer event for you.

We are asking corporate volunteer teams, civic groups, fraternities and solitaries, churches, and individuals to come out for 2 to 3 hours to lend a helping hand.
