Career Development & Professional Success Coach

Find Community Connection Project (FCCP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth and communities through workforce development, mentorship, volunteerism, professional development, financial literacy, community engagement, and leadership development programs.

Position Summary

Location: Hybrid (Brooklyn, NY & Kearny NJ )

Commitment:

• Minimum 15 hours per week
• Maximum 40 hours per week
• 4–12 month commitment

FCCP is seeking a Career Development & Professional Success Coach to support interns, volunteers, and program participants as they prepare for internships, employment, higher education, and leadership opportunities.

This role is ideal for professionals with experience in human resources, recruiting, career services, workforce development, education, coaching, talent acquisition, or professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and improve resumes and cover letters
• Assist with professional biographies and personal branding
• Support LinkedIn profile development
• Help participants create professional portfolios
• Conduct mock interviews and interview preparation sessions
• Provide career exploration and job search support
• Assist with internship and employment readiness
• Support participants in setting professional and educational goals
• Facilitate occasional career development workshops

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in human resources, recruiting, career coaching, workforce development, education, or talent acquisition
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to provide constructive feedback and mentorship
• Passion for helping youth and emerging professionals succeed
• Experience reviewing resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and professional portfolios preferred

Leadership Expectations

This role requires flexibility to meet virtually with interns and volunteers, provide one-on-one coaching, review career materials, and participate in occasional professional development sessions.
