    Description

    Resilience, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to improving the mental health of students, as well as reducing mass shootings, suicide, and depression. Resilience, Inc also works to combat declining test scores, low student engagement, and a slew of other social issues.

    Our organization focuses on offering Social Emotional Learning tools to enable K-12 schools to teach emotional intelligence through five core topics; self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, relationship manageEWGRIYPment, goal setting, and effective decision-making. Resilience, Inc. also provides tools for acquiring and maintaining inspiration, hope, and overall well-being.

    Our mission is to teach SEL at every school in the country.     We are looking for a talented and passionate UI/UX Designer Intern to join our team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop intuitive, usable, and visually appealing interactions and visual designs for mobile applications.
    • Apply good design skills with a strong understanding of typography, colors, intuitive design principles, and palette development.
    • Collaborate closely with the project manager and developers to understand project requirements and translate them into user-centered designs.
    • Create interactive prototypes and user interface products, including wireframes, flowcharts, and screen layouts.
    • Utilize basic design tools to design and iterate on UI/UX elements.
    • Ensure that the designs align with the project's goals, target audience, and usability best practices.
    • Seek feedback from the team and iterate on designs based on feedback and user testing.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, techniques, and industry standards.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Good knowledge of basic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc.).
    • Experience with programming languages is necessary.
    • Familiarity with Figma is required.
    • Experience with mobile app design is a plus, but not necessary.
    • Strong attention to detail and an eye for visual aesthetics.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    • Eagerness to learn and grow as a UI/UX Designer.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
