    Job Summary

    Pro Bono: This position is tailored for a professional who wants to give back their specialized skills and has the right degree/profession/experience for this role. The Communications Lead (Pro bono) focuses primarily on spreading the positive news of UniversalGiving®’s mission. We are excited to have you join our global team and help serve the world in philanthropy.

    Responsibilities:

    • Update and utilize our proprietary, customized Salesforce CRM to track relationships
    • Update and maintain our Communications Plan and PMT (Project Management Tool)
    • Create and cultivate relationships with journalists, bloggers, and social media influencers
    • Writing newsletters and posting on social media
    • Writing copy for UniversalGiving®’s website
    • Craft and update outreach communication templates
    • Update our Communications systems, tracking all placements
    • Prepare for the CEO’s speaking engagements, conferences, and events
    • With proven success & a positive attitude, take on special projects, new responsibilities, and supervision of others in Communications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the marketing or communications field
    • Strong command of communications principles & ability to implement them creatively
    • Proven experience with digital marketing, including social media
    • Excellent verbal and communication skills
    • Critical attention to detail and commitment to excellence are core values
    • Proficiency in Google Workspace tools (some training provided)
    • Demonstrated experience in the field of communications, and/or PR
    • Prior experience with Salesforce is a plus

    Duration and Location

    • Position is available for part-time (5-20 hours per week)
    • Minimum 6 months commitment
    • We provide remote positions with a highly globally focused team from more than 20 countries, including Russia, China, Kenya, Japan, Ukraine, Georgia, the Philippines, Haiti, Germany, Canada, the Kurdish population, South Korea, the U.K., Brazil, and many more.
