Description
Heartland Hospice, covering the counties of Cook, Kane, McHenry and Lake is seeking Volunteers to provide music for senior patients in assisted living, long term facilities and at home. When offered to those near the end of life, music can bind with other healing efforts to address the physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs and can be surprisingly effective with and otherwise unresponsive patient, enhancing the quality of life while maintaining their dignity.
