Volunteer Opportunity: Open Volunteer (Events and engagement)

About the Role:

Love animals? Love exploring your community? Become an Open Volunteer with The Happy Pet Project and help us make a difference while having fun! This role is perfect for weekend warriors who want flexibility, enjoy meeting new people, and are ready to share their passion for animals at events across DFW.

What You’ll Do at Events:

Help set up and break down event tables and booths.

Transport adoptable dogs safely to and from events.

Share information about our rescue, our mission, and the dogs we serve.

Engage with community members, inspire support, and help raise funds and adoptions.

Don’t worry — we’ll teach you everything you need to know!

What We’re Looking For:

Friendly, approachable, and outgoing personality. (Looking to get more comfortable in these skills? We can help you with that!)

Dependable and flexible — willing to volunteer a couple of hours on weekends.

Passion for animals and a desire to make a positive impact in the community.

Enjoy connecting with people and representing our rescue with enthusiasm.

Time Commitment:

Events are typically a couple of hours on weekends and are spread across DFW. This role is flexible so you can sign up for what works for you - but best suited for volunteers who are dependable and ready to engage with the public.
