Spread Cheer - Be a Hospice Volunteer!

Ascend Hospice is offering volunteer opportunities for compassionate, empathetic individuals

who want to enhance lives by giving their time to others in the community. Volunteers

can make friendly visits to a patient, create crafts for patients and families, and assist our office

staff. Ascend Hospice also utilizes the gifts and talents of alternative practitioners, such as

massage therapists, reiki therapists, pet therapists and music therapists. Volunteers receive

training; hours range from one to two hours per week and a commitment of one year is preferred.

Our home office is located in Glen Allen, and we currently serve communities within a 50 mile radius of the City of Richmond. We have need of volunteers in the following communities:

• Colonial Heights
• Goochland
• Hanover
• Henrico (East)
• Henrico (West)
• Hopewell
• Montpelier
• New Kent
• Petersburg
• Powhatan
• Richmond
