    Season: September – May, In-person: 1–4 Saturdays per month between 9 AM – 1 PM (1–3 hrs), Virtual: Weekday afternoons or evenings (based on team schedule)

    FIRE STEM is looking for passionate volunteers to coach and mentor student teams in exciting STEM competitions! Whether you have a tech background or just love working with youth, your time and skills can help empower the next generation of STEM leaders.

    Coaching Teams Include:

    • FIRE Rockets Challenge
    • MathCounts & NSBE Try-Math-A-Lon
    • Medical Technology Software Engineering (MTSE)
    • VEX Robotics (IQ & V5)
    • Ten80 Racing Challenge

    Volunteer Roles:

    • Lead Coach or Mentor
    • Assistant Coach
    • Coaching Admin (attendance, logistics, communication)

    Qualities We’re Looking For:

    • Passion for youth & STEM
    • Team player and positive role model
    • No experience required—we’ll train you!
    • Complete a background check
