Assist a Person with a Disability to Surf Again! Adaptive surfing clinic in NYC!

Wheeling Forward helps people with disabilities experience life to the fullest and enables them to see possibility where others see insurmountable obstacles. They work with individuals to provide the advocacy, mentorship, and support services they need to reach their goals, no matter how big or small.

About the Event

Adaptive Surf NYC 2026 aims to empower individuals with disabilities by providing an inclusive, safe, and fun environment to experience adaptive surfing.

The waves of Rockaway Beach will come alive with the spirit of inclusivity and adventure as adaptive surfing takes center stage at Adaptive Surf NYC 2026. Hosted by Wheeling Forward, this exciting event is part of the "Play It Forward" adaptive sports program, dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities through transformative sports experiences.

Transportation Instructions:

• Subway: Take the A train to Beach 67th Street Station, which is an accessible station. From there, it's a short distance to Beach 69th Street.

Schedule:

• 8:00 AM - Event Setup and Registration Volunteers Arrive
• 8:30 AM - Check-In Opens
• 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM - Adaptive Surf Clinic
