Virtual / Remote Criminal Justice Research Volunteer

The Justice Education Project's Research Department is an advanced team for individuals with experience in research, writing, or academic work. Members conduct research that informs JEP's publications, policy work, website, social media, petitions, and other initiatives.

Research members may investigate issues in policing, courts, incarceration, juvenile justice, and emerging legal technologies. The department also contributes to JEP's original publications and research projects, with opportunities to develop work for public audiences.

The department previously published First Steps to Criminal Justice Activism: For Youth, which was reviewed by Yale Law School and recognized by Teen Vogue. JEP's second book, Next Steps into Criminal Justice Activism: Technology, Ethics, and the Future of Justice, was featured in The Hill and includes contributions from Columbia Law School professors.

Research Department members should have demonstrated experience with research, writing, or both.
