    As a hospice volunteer, you can visit with patients however your personal schedule allows. Most volunteers provide visits once a week or twice a month. We respect and will work with your personal schedule and other committments.

    Hospice Volunteers provide important services to hospice organizations and the people they serve. You gain personal satisfaction from knowing that you have made an impact in another person’s life and contributed to your community in a caring way

    Are you a Veteran, retired, a couple or individual looking to do something meaningful with your spare time? Are you and your sibling, son/daughter, or friend looking to spend quality time with someone special? Do you have a pet who is certified? If this describes you, Preceptor Hospice has an opportunity for you to become a Hospice Volunteer. Become part of a team that provides care and compassion to patients during their final life journey.

    As a Hospice Volunteer, you will become trained to visit with hospice patients. You do not need any experience. This is how you can help. Be willing to share your time on your schedule. Play games, read to them, listen to their stories. Listen when they talk about their time in the military, their career, family. Provide comforting support and presence.
