Description
Porchlight Friends provides companionship visits for older adults in their homes. We assist with non-medical projects in the home and provide transportation for errands and doctor appointments. The visits last 2 hours and our volunteer companions can choose how many visits per week they would like to complete. Visits typically take place during the day, Monday through Friday. We operate our services through the Porchlight Health platform which is a simple, secure way for our older community members to stay connected to family, friends and community resources. Our companions complete an application, do a face-to-face interview, complete a background check and training before they meet with our clients.
Our services operate typically operate during the week, during the day with some evening visits available.

Our volunteer companions meet with older adults in their homes, so the location can be anywhere in El Paso County, Colorado. We try to match our clients and companions geographically so our volunteers don't have to do a lot of driving.
