Bellevue Youth Choirs | Primarily Remote & Seasonal in-person retreats

    About Bellevue Youth Choirs

Bellevue Youth Choirs (BYC) creates a joyful, inclusive musical community for youth by providing exemplary musicianship training and inspiring performance opportunities. BYC currently serves over 200 choristers (age 4-18+) each season in the greater Eastside community.

As we enter an exciting season of strategic growth, BYC is strengthening its infrastructure, expanding access to music education, and deepening community partnerships across the Eastside. We are seeking thoughtful, engaged leaders who are eager to help shape the future of a vibrant and growing arts organization.

    Position Overview

Bellevue Youth Choirs seeks committed, community-minded leaders to serve on its Board of Directors.

The Board is responsible for ensuring that BYC’s mission is carried out legally, ethically, and sustainably while partnering with the Executive & Artistic Director to guide long-term strategic growth.

BYC operates as a working board. Directors actively contribute their time, expertise, and networks to strengthen governance, fundraising, and organizational sustainability.

    • Leverage personal and professional networks to expand BYC's donor base and community support.
    • Attend and support key performances and fundraising events.

    Term & Election

    • Board Members serve a three-year term, elected by the Board of Directors.
    • Board members may serve a maximum of three consecutive terms.
    • Members may be eligible for renewal in accordance with board policies.
    • Officers (Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary) are elected from within the board.

    Time Commitment:

    • Monthly 1.5-hour virtual board meeting
    • Seasonal in-person retreats
