    Hospice Heroes!

    Do you care about serving your community and enriching the lives of others? If so, you might be the Hospice Hero we are looking for!

    Oasis Hospice recently opened a beautiful 14 bed in-patient facility, House of Goshen, in Flossmoor. House of Goshen was built with one purpose; to provide comfort, care and compassion for our patients and their families.

    Oasis Hospice and House of Goshen welcomes all volunteers who want to make an impact. If you have a special skill, talent, certification or passion, Oasis has a place for you. . Volunteer roles may include:

    • Engaging with patients who face the risk of social isolation.
    • Assisting nurses with patient observation.
    • Singing, reading, playing music or story telling.
    • Creating crafts in a patient's room while they relax, ensuring they have company.
    • Offering caretakers a break to run errands.
    • Veteran to Veteran companionship.
    • Arranging flowers for patients.
    • Assisting with community events.
    • Organizational Advocacy.
    • Facilitating Last Wishes.
    • Delivering food or supplies to home-bound families.
    • Administrative support.
    • 11th hour, or Vigil services

    No matter what you offer, every act of service contributes to a brighter, more compassionate world. Here are a few things you can expect when you join the team:

    1. A flexible schedule. Whether you are available one hour per month, or 2 days a week, your time is a gift.
    2. Flexible locations. We offer in-home, assisted living and inpatient services throughought Cook, Will and Dupage Counties.
    3. Training. We offer all the tools, education and support you need for success. We provide training, certifications, opportunities for resume-building and references.
    4. Workplace safety precautions. To safeguard our vulnerable patients, we offer essential TB tests, background checks, and physical exams at no cost to you.
    5. An incredible team with a collective goal to serve.
