Description
As a Community Liaison volunteer with Algo Nuevo, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our organization and the vibrant Miami community. Your efforts will help foster relationships, promote our mission, and enhance the impact of our music therapy programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Community Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact between Algo Nuevo and local community groups, senior centers, and other organizations.
- Outreach and Networking: Develop and maintain relationships with community leaders and organizations to promote Algo Nuevo’s events and initiatives.
- Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing community events, ensuring they are inclusive and accessible to all participants.
- Volunteer Recruitment: Support the recruitment and onboarding of new volunteers to expand our team and increase community involvement.
- Communication: Share information about Algo Nuevo's programs and events through various channels, including social media, newsletters, and community bulletins.
- Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from community members and event participants to help improve our programs and services.
Qualifications
- Passionate about community service and improving the lives of senior citizens.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in event planning or community outreach is a plus.
- Familiarity with the Miami-Dade community and its organizations is advantageous.
