    Description

    Are you friendly, outgoing, and enjoy teaching Pilates? We would love for you to join our virtual community!

    Our Healthy Lifestyle Instructors are responsible for providing quality exercise classes to community members of the Cancer Support Community Los Angeles (CSCLA). We are looking for professional instructors to provide Pilates instruction to those impacted by cancer.

    Program instruction schedule is flexible; we ask a commitment to teaching weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly for at least three months.

    Required Skills and Responsibilities:

      • Certification in Specialty
      • Access to a private, quiet space
      • Access to a computer, laptop or tablet with microphone and webcam capabilities
      • Friendly attitude and comfortable working around people with cancer
      • Daytime and/or evening availability
      • Professional and reliable
      • Punctual attendance
      • Communicate in a positive, polite and respectful manner
      • Ability to work independently and alongside a team
      • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
      • Ability to adjust class to participants’ needs

    Orientation/Training:

      • Online interview with Program Manager prior to teaching classes
      • Review and sign volunteer manual – includes background check
      • Volunteer Orientation and virtual training on healthy lifestyle class protocols

    Cancer Support Community Los Angeles is a nonprofit whose mission is to uplift and strengthen people impacted by cancer by providing support, fostering compassionate communities, and breaking down barriers to care. Our vision: Everyone impacted by cancer receives the support they want and need throughout their experience. For more than 40 years, CSCLA has been providing free, no-cost psychosocial support and services to persons living with cancer – all ages, all diagnoses, and at all stages – and their loved ones.
