    Volunteers will need access to a car, a valid driver's license and adequate auto insurance. They will also need a smartphone and be comfortable lifting and carrying large bags containing several meal trays.

    Description

    Food Rescuer - Vineland, Cumberland County, NJ

    Our volunteers recover healthy meals from commercial donor cafeterias and deliver them to specified nearby non-profit organizations. Every meal saved nourishes our community in need whilst also reducing the landfill waste and so helping the environment.

    The volunteer role would involve:

    • picking up meals from our donor cafeteria in Vineland, and
    • delivering this food to our non-profit community partner in nearby area.

    Each volunteer task will take approximately one hour including travel time between donor and recipient. Volunteers will need to drive their own car. We welcome regular participation but will work with your schedule.

    This volunteering opportunity is on THURSDAYS starting at 7:30am and occurs during term time only.
