    Description

    About the Project

We are compiling a comprehensive financial literacy curriculum designed to empower individuals transitioning from crisis toward long-term independence. We are seeking a knowledgeable writer to draft Module 4, focusing on credit mechanics, credit safety, and repairing credit damage.

    Assignment & Topic Areas

You will write a complete educational module (approx. 2,000–2,500 words) tackling complex credit topics:

    • Demystifying Credit Scores: Breaking down exactly how credit scores are calculated and why they matter for housing, employment, and utilities.
    • Addressing Coerced Debt & Identity Theft: Providing step-by-step strategies for safely pulling credit reports without alerting a harm-doer, and disputing unauthorized accounts or fraudulent charges.
    • Strategic Credit Building: Utilizing accessible, low-risk credit builders like secured credit cards or reporting on-time rent payments.
    • Interactive Exercises: Create a step-by-step credit check guide and a dispute checklist for users to safely track their credit repair progress.

    Desired Tone & Style

Clear, objective, and deeply supportive. This module deals with frustrating systemic hurdles, so the writing must break down legal/financial processes into small, manageable victories.

    Qualifications

    • Prior experience writing about credit, consumer law, financial counseling, or debt advocacy.
    • Ability to accurately translate dense financial/legal reporting rules into plain language.
    • Comfort detailing delicate safety steps regarding credit reporting systems.
