    Description

Are you an organized, mission-driven professional looking to help military heroes launch their next chapter? The Veteran Project Manager Mentor Alliance (VPMMA) is seeking a Program Development Coordinator to serve as a vital pillar of our educational initiatives. In this high-impact volunteer role, you will ensure our programs run with the precision and professionalism our veterans deserve, directly supporting their transition into civilian project management careers.

As a pro bono contributor, you are practicing Corporate Social Responsibility by providing the structural support that allows our "Alliance Heroes"—veterans, service members, and spouses—to gain essential skills and confidence.

    Your Programmatic Impact

This role is designed as a focused 3–5 hour weekly commitment centered on operational excellence and virtual event success:

    • Virtual Event Orchestration: Serve as a moderator, timekeeper, or breakout room lead during live workshops, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants.
    • Creative Support: Assist in preparing professional event materials, including slide decks and interactive feedback forms.
    • Administrative Stewardship: Maintain a high-functioning, user-friendly resource library by organizing files within Google Drive and keeping program templates polished.
    • Data-Driven Insights: Collect and organize engagement metrics from program activities to help leadership evaluate and improve our community impact.
    • Team Collaboration: Participate in brief weekly team syncs to maintain organizational momentum and align on upcoming goals.

    Who You Are

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented coordinator who thrives in a collaborative, remote environment:

    • The Digital Specialist: Proficient with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive).
    • The Virtual Facilitator: Comfortable supporting or co-hosting events on platforms like Zoom or Google Meet.
    • The Organizer: Possesses strong attention to detail and a commitment to keeping digital assets accessible and professional.
    • The Communicator: Able to work asynchronously and communicate effectively with a diverse team of volunteers.
    • The Advocate: Passionate about VPMMA’s mission to support the military-connected community.

    The Rewards of Strategic Service

Joining VPMMA is a mutually beneficial journey that values your professional expertise and time:

    • Professional Development: Gain experience in nonprofit program management and virtual event production.
    • Credential Opportunities: Access to Google Certificates on Coursera to enhance your professional toolkit.
    • Strategic Networking: Connect with a dedicated community of project management leaders and veteran advocates.
    • Recognition: Eligibility for Volunteer of the Month/Year awards and professional letters of recommendation for significant contributions.

    Position Details

    • Type: Volunteer / 100% Remote.
    • Time Commitment: 3–5 hours per week.
    • Term Commitment: A one-year commitment is preferred to maintain program consistency.
    • Reporting Structure: Direct report to the Director of Programs.

Ready to help us build a stronger community? Your organizational mastery provides the foundation for our veterans to thrive both professionally and personally.
