    Description

    FISHop Gift Shop Volunteer

    Staff the FISHop Gift Shop at the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery. Process sales transactions and answer questions about salmon conservation, hatchery operations, and watershed stewardship.

    Timing: Year-round, however, mostly in the fall. From August to November, volunteer shifts are weekdays 10 am - 2 pm, weekends 10 am - 6 pm, plus Friday evenings 4 - 6 pm. Shifts are usually 2 hours in length.

    Location: Issaquah Salmon Hatchery

    Requirements: Volunteers must be age 14 or older.

    Commitment: 8+ hours

    • Complete volunteer registration (0.5 hours)
    • Attend volunteer orientation (1 hour)
    • Attend FISHop Gift Shop Training or shadow a shift (1 - 2 hours)
    • Staff FISHop Gift Shop (2+ hours)
