    Description

    The Web Director oversees the strategy, development, and maintenance of The Medica Zone’s website and digital infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the organization’s online presence is accurate, accessible, visually cohesive, and aligned with its mission and branding. The Web Director collaborates closely with the Outreach, Content and Marketing, and Graphic Design departments to coordinate website updates, implement new features, and support organizational initiatives. This position plays a key leadership role in managing website projects and guiding interns involved in web development and maintenance.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead website strategy, structure, and long term development planning
    • Oversee website updates, maintenance, and content accuracy
    • Coordinate implementation of new features and functionality
    • Manage and support Website Management Interns
    • Collaborate with Outreach, Marketing, and Graphic Design teams to ensure alignment across platforms
    • Monitor website performance, usability, and user experience
    • Ensure brand consistency and accessibility across all web pages

    Requirements

    • Prior experience with website management or web development
    • Strong organizational and project management skills
    • Ability to lead, delegate, and collaborate across teams
    • Proficiency or working knowledge of web technologies and platforms

    Preferred Background

    • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or similar web technologies
    • Familiarity with content management systems and hosting platforms
    • Background in computer science, web development, digital media, or related fields
    • Experience working in nonprofit or healthcare related organizations is a plus

    Time Commitment

    • Approximately 5 hours per week
    • Flexible scheduling based on academic commitments
