    Company Description

    Beyond 22 Project is dedicated to enhancing the lifelong wellbeing of adults with disabilities and their families. After individuals age out of school-based programs at 22, they often lose access to necessary structure, community, and resources, placing financial strain on caregivers. The organization advocates for stronger family support, lifelong community-based programs, and utilizes lived experiences to shape policy and inspire action.

    Role Description

    This is a volunteer, virtual role for a Board Member. Board Members are responsible for participating in monthly board meetings (one per month), providing strategic guidance, overseeing financial management, and ensuring that the organization’s mission is carried out effectively. Duties include policy development, fundraising, advocacy, and representing the organization in various capacities within the community.

    Qualifications

    • Strategic planning and policy development skills
    • Advocacy and community engagement skills
    • Strong communication and leadership abilities
    • Experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus
    • Ability to work on-site in Seattle, WA when needed
    • Commitment to the mission and a genuine passion for disability
