    Description

Music Hospice Volunteer (Guitar Playing and/or Singing)

Are you a musician looking for a meaningful way to share your gift? Whether you’re a seasoned performer or just starting out, your music can provide profound comfort, spark memories, and offer peace to those at the end of life’s journey.

We are seeking Singers and Guitarists to perform at the bedsides of our patients. For some, music is the only language they can still respond to; for others, it’s simply the highlight of their day.

    What You’ll Do

    • Perform live music: Provide 1-on-1 bedside performances for patients in a quiet, intimate setting.
    • Personalize the experience: Collaborate with patients or their families to play their favorite genres or "legacy" songs.
    • Create connection: Use your talent to provide a sense of normalcy and joy during a difficult time.

    Commitment & Logistics

    • Frequency: Flexible! Usually 2-4 visits per month, but we welcome more if your schedule allows.
    • Timing: Highly flexible. Visits can be scheduled any day of the week (including weekends) at almost any time of day.
    • Location: Visits take place at the patient's bedside (private homes or care facilities).

    Requirements

Because you will be working directly with hospice patients, you will be onboarded as an official Hospice Volunteer. This includes:

    • A comprehensive hospice volunteer training/orientation.
    • Background checks and health screenings (details provided upon inquiry).
    • A compassionate heart and a respectful bedside manner.

“Where words fail, music speaks.” Help us provide a voice and a melody to those who need it most.
