    Description

    Sante Imanite is seeking a financially savvy professional to serve as Board Treasurer. The Treasurer serves as the financial watchdog of the organization, ensuring strict financial oversight, accurate record-keeping, and compliance. This role is critical to maintaining the trust of our donors and ensuring the financial health necessary to scale our global healthcare initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Financial Oversight: Manage and review annual budgets, monthly financial statements, and organizational spending.
    • Financial Reporting: Present clear financial reports to the Executive Board during quarterly virtual meetings.
    • Compliance & Taxes: Ensure the timely filing of IRS Form 990, state registrations, and other legal financial documents.
    • Give-or-Get Tracking: Work alongside leadership to track and record the annual $250 Give-or-Get contributions from board members.
    • Internal Controls: Maintain and enforce financial policies that protect the organization’s assets.

    Qualifications & Core Competencies

    • Financial Expertise: Background in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or business management (CPA or corporate finance experience is a major plus).
    • Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online) and spreadsheet management.
    • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on compliance and accuracy.
    • Fiduciary Responsibility: Understanding of nonprofit financial regulations and best practices.

    Financial Commitment (Give-or-Get Policy)

    • Annual Policy: We utilize a "Give-or-Get" financial model for all executive board members.
    • Minimum Tier: Each member is responsible for a minimum baseline of $250 annually.
    • Flexibility: You can fulfill this by making a personal donation ("give") or by securing equivalent contributions from external donors, corporate match programs, online peer-to-peer fundraisers, or sponsors ("get").

    Time Commitment & Term

    • Term Length: Two-year renewable term.
    • Meeting Schedule: Attendance at quarterly board meetings, held 100% virtually via video conference.
    • Monthly Dedication: Approximately 4–6 hours per month, including committee work and administrative duties.
    • Location: Fully Remote / Virtual.
