Position Title:  Development Coordinator

Position Type: Volunteer (Unpaid)

Time Commitment: Flexible; about 5 hours per week

Start Date: Immediate

Reports to: Executive Team of Deliverance Charities (President, Senior Vice President, Vice President).

Location: Primarily remote. (Must be in USA)

Position Overview

Deliverance Charities is seeking a Development Coordinator to support our Resource Development efforts. This role focuses on coordinating and assisting with grants, fundraising events, sponsorships, and merchandise initiatives. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

This position supports fundraising operations and helps ensure projects move forward smoothly, on time, and in alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Grants

• Research funding opportunities aligned with housing, empowerment, and economic development.
• Oversee grant writing, submission schedules, and reporting.
• Build long-term relationships with foundations and funders.

Events

• Plan and manage fundraising and awareness events (such as poetry nights and community gatherings).
• Secure sponsors, coordinate logistics, and ensure events reflect the organization’s mission and brand.

Sponsorships

• Develop sponsorship packages and pitch materials.
• Build partnerships with businesses, churches, and community leaders.
• Manage outreach and relationship cultivation.

Merchandise

• Oversee fundraising merchandise strategy (branded apparel, books, and promotional items).
• Coordinate campaigns that connect products to storytelling and mission impact.

Work Environment: Our team is collaborative and supportive, using tools Google Gmail, Chat and Space to stay connected and work efficiently.

Schedule:

• Self-determined schedule but need updates monthly.
• At least 5 hours a week, anything more is appreciated
• Updates should be submitted via email.
