    Description

    Outreach Specialist

    Role Overview:

    The Outreach Volunteer helps spread the word about Less Leg More Heart’s mission by engaging with individuals, organizations, healthcare providers, and community partners. You’ll play a key role in expanding awareness, recruiting new beneficiaries and volunteers, and fostering strategic collaborations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Connect with rehab centers, prosthetists, hospitals, community organizations, and support groups to share resources and build relationships

    • Distribute print and digital materials to relevant organizations and events

    • Represent Less Leg More Heart at community events, expos, fundraisers, or health fairs (when available)

    • Assist with email and phone outreach to potential partners, sponsors, and referral sources

    • Help maintain and update a database of outreach contacts and interactions

    • Support the coordination of collaborative efforts (e.g., adaptive sports events, education seminars)

    • Collaborate with the team on outreach campaigns and referral initiatives

    • Gather and share feedback from the community to help us better meet amputee needs

    Ideal Qualifications:

    • Outgoing and friendly personality with strong communication skills

    • Organized and comfortable with tracking outreach follow-ups

    • Comfortable speaking about our mission in person, by email, or on the phone

    • Experience with healthcare, nonprofits, or community networking (a plus but not required)

    • Basic tech skills (email, spreadsheets, Google Drive)

    • Passionate about disability advocacy and community impact
