    About Us

For over 37 years, Use What You’ve Got Ministry Keeping Families Connected has provided safe, trauma-informed transportation for families to visit their incarcerated loved ones across Indiana. We also offer retreats, nutrition and wellness programs, and our annual Children’s Christmas Party for children impacted by incarceration.

As we expand statewide and prepare to build a 24/7 Family Success Center, we are seeking passionate, skilled volunteers to help us strengthen our fundraising capacity and connect with new supporters.

    Responsibilities

    • Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources.
    • Draft compelling grant proposals and letters of inquiry.
    • Track submissions and reporting deadlines using Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud.
    • Assist with donor engagement campaigns and fundraising events.
    • Maintain and organize funding database and contact lists.
    • Collaborate with leadership to align proposals with program priorities and community impact goals.

    Qualifications

    • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Experience with Salesforce, donor databases, or CRM systems preferred.
    • Prior grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development experience a plus.
    • Passion for social justice, family reunification, and community healing.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a compassionate team.
