2026 Community Closet Volunteers

Description
Mendbyme Community Closet is seeking volunteers to help create a welcoming and dignified free shopping experience for local individuals and families for anyone who can use them. Our Community Closet provides gently used and dormant clothing, shoes, and textiles back to the community at no cost.
We are looking for friendly and compassionate volunteers to assist during our event on:
- Friday, June 5th from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Saturday, June 6th from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Greeting guests at the door
- Assisting shoppers
- Rehanging and organizing clothing
- Collecting hangers from checkout
- Helping maintain the shopping area
- Assisting with setup, restocking, and cleanup
Spanish-speaking volunteers are especially appreciated, but all are welcome. No experience is needed — just kindness, patience, and a willingness to help others.

Volunteers of all experience levels are welcome. Community service hours can be signed off for high school students and other volunteer programs.
Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes, as volunteers may be standing, organizing clothing, or helping with setup and cleanup throughout the event.
Water and light snacks will be available for volunteers during the event.
If you are interested in volunteering, please include your availability and any language skills (Spanish-speaking volunteers are especially appreciated). Thank you for helping us support the community.
